What this page covers
NetTests.NET is a website monitoring and internet diagnostics platform. This page explains what we store when you use it, why, and for how long.
Cookies we set

All three are first-party, HttpOnly and
SameSite=Lax. None of them are advertising cookies and none
are readable by other websites.
What we record about your visit
For each page you open we store the path, the time, how long the page
took to serve, roughly how long the page was open, the referring URL if
your browser sent one, any utm_* campaign parameters in the
link you followed, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent
string. When you run one of the diagnostic tools we also store which
tool, the target you gave it, and how long it took.
We use this to understand how people find NetTests.NET and which parts of it are actually useful — not to build a profile for advertising, and not to sell to anyone. Requests from search-engine crawlers and other bots are neither cookied nor recorded.
Values that look like credentials — anything named like a password, token, secret or API key, and the free-text header and body fields of the HTTP tools — are stripped before anything is written down. That includes the token in an email-verification or password-reset link.
How long we keep it
Page views from browsing that never led to an account are deleted after 180 days. Activity connected to an account is kept for as long as the account exists. Deleting your account deletes your account record, your organization memberships and your sites.
Third parties
We use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic statistics, and Google AdSense serves ads on some pages to visitors on the free plan. Both set their own cookies under Google's privacy policy, independently of the cookies described above. Outbound email is delivered through SendGrid.
The diagnostic tools work by contacting the host you ask them to check. If you enter a domain or IP address, that target — and NetTests.NET's own server address — will appear in that host's logs.
